I don’t typically re-post things I’ve read on the internet. Sometimes things are just so over blogged or over shared that the article can quickly lose its meaning and impact.
But this article, by James Altucher: Hard-Core Career Advice for a 13 Year Old, just really resonated with me. Much could be applied to every day life and especially for those of us who work in the self-employed and free lance fields.
And it also goes along with Craft for the Soul a new book by Pip Lincolne (she’s the awesome blogger behind Meet Me at Mikes: good stuff for nice people). Her themes of why we fear what we fear or why we might be afraid to pursue big dreams or even the smallest ideas are spot on. Not to mention it’s beautiful and poetic and funny.
Some days when I’m in a rut the smallest bit of encouragement or pat on the back is enough to keep me keepin’ on.
