When Spring Springs

Last Friday we went to one of my favorite metro parks, Weygertzen Gardens.  They have this amazing little garden area just for kids and it’s filled with plants that can be touched, poked, and even eaten.

I felt like we could’ve spent the better part of the day out there even at the risk of freckling and getting sunburnt.  It was gorgeous.

Looking at those tulips reminds me that mine are most likely in their last bloom.  Meaning I’ll need to dig up around 100 bulbs this fall and order in new ones.

Yes, that is alot of work but the payoff is worth it every Spring when suddenly everything turns green and vibrant seemingly overnight.

I think Mother Nature has just as hard of a time waiting for warmer weather as we do.
